Birthday Parties

We run 50 - 60 parties a year making us the busiest woodland party provider in the area.

 Bushcraft and Survival themed birthday parties held in our stunning  100 acre private woodland in Ashford, Kent.

Themed parties are available for children from 6 years upwards and will have all the elements needed to make it an exciting, memorable event. Ideal for your budding Bear Grylls or Lara Croft.

Why choose us?

Well between us we have over 35 years of working with children and teaching in the outdoors, we are organisational members of the Institute of Outdoor Learning AND holders of their Bushcraft competency certificate. Craig is a qualified teacher also a Craghoppers brand ambassador and has written articles for Bushcraft Magazines, appeared on BBC Television  and given demos at national bushcraft shows. We have taught many other instructors and organisations how to run parties across the UK and beyond, and many have copied what we do but if you want the original and best, read on..

We also believe we have the best facilites for woodland themed parties available in the area; a 100 acre privately owned woodland, ample parking for parents & visitors, a dedicated basecamp featuring a 9m x 7m covered A frame shelter meaning we can keep everyone dry even in the worst weather, a very clean and modern composting toilet, a large covered firing range so you can stay dry even when doing Archery & other weaponry courses, a covered firepit area, tea & coffee for adults, a new woodland kitchen area featuring a large Pizza oven and of course access to a beautiful 120 acre woodland.   Our party leaders are all highly experienced Bushcraft and survival instructors with valid CRB/DBS checks and an up to date First Aid certificates.

All parties will include a "campfire" lunch with a choice of sausages or American style hotdogs in rolls or Pizzas cooked in our wood-fire Pizza oven.There are vegetarian and vegan options available as well.

. We also supply soft (not fizzy) drinks, sauces and tableware. If there's something specific you would like, just ask. If we can do it we will. We also offer tea & coffee to the parents and guardians that want to stay and watch at the party. You are welcome to bring a birthday cake and party bags etc.

Due to the popularity of our woodland and bushcraft themed parties over the last few years we have introduced some new options.

We now have two options for Birthday Parties:

Option 1: Standard party

2 & 1/2 hours based on the themes listed below, for example shelter building & fire lighting activities.

Prices are £185 for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 children with sausages.

£200 with Pizza. Up to 20 children will cost £285 with sausages and £300 with Pizza.

Option 2: Mega party.

4 hours and can include three main activities such as Archery, Shelter building and fire lighting with a "lunch break" for sausages or pizza.

Prices £285 for up to 12 children and £385 for up to 20 children with sausages.

£300 for up to 12 children and £400 for up to 20 children with pizza.

Survival Essentials. (7 years+)

This has been our most popular party theme over the past few years. The group will be given the scenario that that have become lost and stranded in the dense, vast forests of northern canada and will need to stay alive and well for a period of time until help reaches them, we teach the essentias of survival focusing on shelter and fire, the group get to make mini versions of real survival shelters that are tested rigorously for weather proofing, design and strength before learning many ways of lighting a fire. Den building and fire lighting have become our most requested activites by far. We aim to privide a fantastic balance between fun and education. The format of this party has been taught to many other outdoor companies all over the UK and is subsequently copied by many.

Archery. (9 years+)

We now have the option to use a wondeful Archery range within our fabulous 100 acre woodland in Kent. Learn how to safely use a bow and arrow and take on some challenges and competitions with your friends including balloon bursting and maybe even win a trophy for best Archer of the day!

Wand or staff Carving. (10 years+)

Learn all about knife law and safety and the uses of knives in bushcraft and then under the guidance of our highly experienced instructors learn how to carve your own gandalf style staff  or witches / wizard wand. 

​Hunter Gatherers. (9 years+)

​Explore our woodlands looking at how primitve man searched for and found food, build a basic trap and then have a go in our purpose built archery range trying bows & arrows as well as a variety of primitive but fun throwing weapons

(we promise it's a lot safer then it sounds!)

Girl power survival. (6 years+)

For those adveturous young ladies who like to get muddy we run a girls only survival challenge with games and scenarious to suit their age and abilities. competitions involving den making and fire lighting as well as a variety of games will see who the leaders of the pack are before eating freshly cooked food over a real fire.

Find the treasure! (6 years+)

Get ready to go on an adveturous treasure hunt through four zones of our amazing woodlands, In each zone you'll have to find certain items, make things and solve puzzles and riddles before you can move on to the next zone. In our final "basecamp" zone you'll have to find the teasure and then enjoy sausages, hotdogs or even Pizzas cooked over the fire.

Ancient & Modern Weaponry (10 years+)  - New for 2019

In our purpose built firing range you'll have the chance to try out a whole range of primitive and modern weapons under the strict, safe controlof our expert instructors. Try your hand at, Crossbows, Catapults, Archery, Throwing axes, blow pipes and Bushcraft Ninja stars before enjoying sausages cooked over the fire or even Pizzas cooked in our new wood fired oven.

Air Rifles (10 years +) - NEW!!

utilising out purpose made range and our extensive woodland come and learn how to safely use a .177or .22 air rifle with us. We have a wide variety of targets and challenges for you to try with prizes for the "top sniper"

Our highly experienced instructors will run you through everything you need to know and ensure you all have a safe and fun session shooting with us.

Bespoke parties are tailor-made to create a magical experience and to match your child's interests. working together we can plan a party around a chosen theme. bespoke parties can be more flexible on time and can include more food and drink etc. contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
