Covid methodology statement and action plan for the operation of courses.

Statement to clients

Your safety is, as always our paramount concern.

Black Wolf has taken all the steps as detailed by the government to make our courses Covid 19 secure. We are taking a completely open approach in how we communicate the actions we have, and will continue to take in the changes we have made to our courses and events.

Detailed below is what you can expect from us when undertaking any number of courses within England, these will be updated as and when government guidelines change and are reviewed at minimum weekly. We are currently awaiting further lifting of restrictions for overseas travel.

Current courses.

. As of 1st June 2020 we can operate day courses only with a maximum of 5 participants and one instructor.

. As of 1st June 2020 we cannot run any overseas courses

We are anticipating that overnight courses will resume very shortly as soon as the government give the go ahead to stay away from home, we are leaving all courses live until the day before the course as the government don’t seem to be giving us much notice as to when we can / cannot do things. We are giving clients the option of traveling home on multi day courses as well.

In the event of postponement of a course or event all participants can re book within the two years. In the event of a client being uncomfortable attending a course or event due to Covid concerns, an offer is being made to re-attend at any point in the next two years.

In the event of illness, a client will be offered the opportunity to re-attend at any point in the next two years.

Courses Specific Covid 19 Methodology statement Operation

Running of all education course activities within our own woodlands with adherence to government specific advice.

Attendance on the course

It is important for all clients that should you, or a member of your household become or are already unwell with symptoms of corona virus you should inform Black Wolf immediately and should not travel to or attend the course or event. If you are already at our venue you should immediately cease any activity, inform a member of staff whilst taking steps to isolate and remove yourself.

If you are self-isolating as a result of Covid 19, Black Wolf will forfeit its rights under our terms and conditions to deeming this a cancellation by the client and instead will provide you with a two-year voucher to undertake that course, event or party, or a similar one with that time frame from your original booking. We recognise that these are unusual times and we want you to book with the reassurance that that you will not lose your money. Black Wolf reserves the right to request proof of self-isolation (e.g. direction from the track & trace service undertaken by the NHS) Black wolf will review this forfeit on a monthly basis.

What we expect of you and what you can expect from us.

Prior to course / event / party

  1. Please read through the info you were sent relating to your event, for single and multi-day courses PLEASE bring your own anti bac hand gel and a personal first aid kit. For events and parties please bring your own hand gel.
  2. You are welcome to bring your own facemask and gloves if you wish.
  3. You are welcome to change into alternative clothes at the venue to minimise the risk of cross contamination if you have visited other venues in them prior to the event, your instructor will have done this already.

Meet & Greet

Effective from 1st June until further notice all courses / events / parties will have no more than 5 clients with 1 instructor, therefore 6 persons in total. Ratios will increase as government guidance allows. Therefore you may book a course on the 10th June for the 1st August expecting 5 people, but if the government advice changes on the 5th July that 10 people can attend we will up the numbers on the course accordingly.

From the moment you arrive and get out of your vehicle we would request that you at all times remain the current recommendation of 2 metres apart unless you are from the same household. There should be no physical contact with members from outside your own household.

Your Instructor will remind you of the current distance regulations on your arrival.

You will be directed or guided by your instructor to an area where you can park your vehicle and given a thorough safety briefing before being led to camp, you will all be asked to verify that you have understood and accept the safety briefing (written copies are available on request) before being led to camp.

On arrival in camp you will be given a hand washing demonstration as do not have running water on site and you will be requested to wash your hands then, and at minimum every 2 hours. You will be shown around the camp and advised how to use the facilities safely including our composting or chemical toilets and asked to wipe down touched surfaces with provided anti-bacterial wipes after each visit. Staff will also regularly wipe down communal surfaces regularly.

Please do not take any offence if an instructor or fellow client puts on a facemask, remember facemasks are there to stop people spreading a virus as easily than catching it from someone else.

Any equipment issued to clients for the course / event / party will have been wiped down prior to issue and again after each session.

Please do feel free to bring your own anti bac wipes if it’s easier to use throughout your event.

For the time being all events at our woodland are self-catered, you are responsible for your own food and its hygiene. Fire pits for cooking are available but you must use your own plates and cutlery. Water is available as are disposable cups for tea & coffee etc.

Changes to guidelines are happening almost daily so we will do our best to update as quickly as are given them but do feel free to call or email us anytime if you have any questions or concerns.
